12 Inches Over, named from an expression used by basketball coaches endeavoring to move from the assistant coach’s chair, 12 inches over to the head coach’s chair, is a professional development network, primarily composed of men’s and women’s college basketball coaches from Philly and the DMV (D.C., Maryland and Virginia). Our network has over 1000 years of combined experience as players, coaches, and administrators at the highest levels of basketball and athletics. As an homage to our old head, mentor and coach, Claude Gross, we use storytelling as the cornerstone of a unique brand of professional development to showcase, learn, discuss transformational leadership, and offer grace when needed.
